About LJ

Pronouns (they/them)

As a queer, trans therapist, I see healing as an act of liberation. It is liberating to show up for our most authentic selves, and to have our pain, joy, passions, identities, and relationships nonjudgmentally witnessed. My role is to co-create a space where you feel safe enough to learn, unlearn, challenge, and be challenged while developing a sustainable, gentle curiosity about yourself.

I believe that trust, love, and authenticity can be our best guides towards healing and liberation. With this in mind, I use a lens of liberatory harm reduction, which means you decide your journey, and I am here to walk alongside you in the spirit of collaboration and community. I also strive to practice from an anti-carceral, anti-racist, non-pathologizing perspective, which means that you define your experiences for yourself, outside the pressures placed on us by historically oppressive mental health systems. My practice is informed by psychodynamic therapy, IFS, and EMDR, as well as my identities as a white, queer, trans, neurodivergent person.

I often work with performers, artists, writers, musicians–and anyone with creative pursuits and hobbies. I have a passion for working with folks whose experiences exist at the intersections of queerness, transness, neurodivergence, and eating disorders/disordered eating, supporting you in finding a greater sense of embodiment and bodymind liberation.

I’d be honored to be part of your healing journey. Please reach out to schedule a free, 15-minute consultation call to see if you may want to work together.

With financial equity in mind, I offer sliding scale rates per session. Rates will be discussed in our initial consultation.

I am currently supervised by and working under the license of Genna Ayres, LCSW
